ABOUT US

Ipswich Touch Association (ITA) is an incorporated, community based, not for profit organisation conducting Touch Football competitions in Ipswich, Queensland.  ITA is part of the officially recognised structure (recognized by Australian Sports Commission) for administering and developing the sport in Queensland, Australia and internationally.

ITA is based at LEICHHARDT, IPSWICH and is affiliated with the Australian Sports Commission’s who recognises national and state Touch football bodies and operates at Jim Finimore Oval.  The venue consists of 4 floodlit fields built specifically for Touch, with a modern amenities building and a public car park.

At Jim Finimore Oval, ITA conducts adult and junior competitions in Winter and Summer.  Same sex and mixed formats are available.  Grades cater for beginners to elite players.

Participants in ITA competitions are eligible to represent South West Queensland, Queensland and Australia.  These opportunities are available to junior, open and over-age players.

ITA supports junior development activities.  ITA provides refereeing and coaching support for school based Touch, and makes facilities available for inter school and junior representative events.

ITA is managed by an Executive and a part time competition administrator.

ITA's executive are elected by team delegates at the Association's Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in late-January each year.

Playing nights are Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday nights with time slots of 6.30pm, 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm (if needed).
